S.H. Baker vividly depicts the beauty and liveliness of the Louisiana Bayou right after WWI in her mystery series featuring the dashing, Cajun lawman, Dassas Cormier. Dassas Cormier, a dashing young Frenchman in southwest Louisiana, is torn between his Acadian heritage and the excitement of the Roaring Twenties. He returns home after a tragic end to his police career to find two murders have taken place in Marshall's Bayou--a town where nothing ever happens. And the woman of his dreams seems to be involved in at least one of the crimes.
Authentic Cajun music for the scenes in Theriot's Bar was generously contributed by The Raymond T & French Bred Band from Vinton, Louisiana.
Featuring Clifton Chadwick as the voice of Dassas Cormier.

The most exciting part for me was hearing the voices in my head come to life, and having the result better than anything I could have imagined!
Fun: helping the actors figure out what the characters were thinking, and what life was like in the 20s in Marshall's Bayou, Louisiana.

Clifton Chadwick, an Albuquerque N.M. native has been doing voice characterizations since his days in front of Saturday Morning Cartoons. While studying for a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Arts Clifton began to get "gigs" doing Radio and TV commercials for local advertising agencies, starting with an Irish dialect for a St. Patrick's commercial. Since 1980, in addition to frequently "walking the boards" at several local theaters Clifton has been seen and heard on Radio and Television as a variety of characters.
One of the most interesting parts of playing Dassas was the opportunity to switch from the un-accented narration to the Cajun accent. Sarah H. Baker's script was great to work with - it practically directed itself!

In Return to Marshall's Bayou, Brianna played the tough, but caring sister-in-law of Dassas Cormier, Becky Cormier, and the unforgettable Mrs. Richard. Listen for her as one of the soiled doves and the neighbor who is frequently bothered by strangers looking for the whore house.

Bill Royal has been in radio, both on the air and in production, for two decades. He won 7 NMBA awards for writing and production and is a musician, songwriter and music producer. He played the lead role in Siren Audio Studios' Sid Guy Private Eye, a winner in the USA Best Books 2011 (Audio-Humor) by USA Book News and the role of Alcide Cormier in Return to Marshall's Bayou.
Alcide was a fascinating character; his combination of personal strength and physical weakness made him a great challenge to do. And Sarah's writing made it easy to get immersed in the role.

Jeremy Owen's tremendous versatility has made it possible for him to perform several roles in Siren Audio Studios' Sid Guy: Private Eye, Winner of the USA Book News Best 2011 (Audiobook: Humor) and multiple roles in Return to Marshall's Bayou, including Harley, Kyle, and Mr. Brandon.
Jeremy has been in film since 2001 after graduating from the University of Northern Colorado and started doing voiceover for Siren Audio Studios in 2010.
Harley was super fun to play... That kind of larger than life character that's so easy to let yourself go with.
Mr. Brandon was a rare chance for me. I rarely get to play someone so quiet and fragile. It was a treat.
Kyle was a great chance to explore my dark side, which I love doing. I just tried to go as creepy as I could without going overboard.
